Luberon, South of France

A renovation of a beautiful 18th Century stone house in the Luberon region. The brief to transform a tired, high-maintenance area of lawn into a vibrant, colourful and sustainable space which captures the essence of the Luberon hills

The new design needed to connect various parts of the garden, including a terrace, viewing area and vegetable garden, whilst also being a space to be enjoyed in its own right

Espace Garden Design designed a path winding through a newly planted woodland area leading to a sunny upper terrace where a new gazebo was installed to provide a view across the fields

The planting design is naturalistic and sustainable. Drought resistant plants give year round interest and evergreen shrubs provide a backdrop to the colourful perennials and bulbs
